How Dental IT Is Revolutionizing Dental Communications with Zoom
In the world of dental practice technology, few companies have made as significant an impact as Dental IT. Led by founder and managing director Liam McNaughton, the company has spent over two decades supporting dental practices across the UK with tailored IT solutions, including broadband, security, and phone systems. Now, they're taking on the future with Zoom via PXC.
Over the years, Dental IT has evolved their offering at pace with technology, from VoIP to adopting cloud-based systems and refining their solutions to meet the specific needs of dental practices. The addition of Zoom to their portfolio marked a turning point.
When introduced by their account manager at PXC, Dental IT discovered Zoom’s robust phone and contact centre capabilities, along with powerful AI features and a pricing model that aligned perfectly with their customer needs.
The collaboration with PXC began during a beta phase, requiring both teams to adapt and learn. PXC integrated Zoom’s quoting and provisioning into 1Portal, which Dental IT was already familiar with. This streamlined the ordering process, allowing the team to deliver Zoom solutions to clients within days.
DentalDial.AI
With Zoom in place, Dental IT launched DentalDial.AI, a custom-built app that enhances Zoom’s functionality with dental-specific analytics and integrations. The app connects with popular dental CMS platforms like Dentally, offering insights that improve staff management, customer service, and the overall patient experience.
This innovation has driven significant growth. For the first time, Dental IT hired a full-time marketing manager to promote the new solution, and they’re now receiving daily enquiries. The company expects to double in size within two years.
One of the standout benefits of Zoom is its ease of use. Dental IT’s clients can manage their own settings, without needing technical support. Built-in AI features such as transcriptions and summaries enhance communication, while DentalDial.AI adds another layer of value with industry-specific insights.
Looking Ahead
With Zoom Voice Agent on the horizon and Zoom’s continued innovation, Dental IT sees a bright future. The platform’s flexibility and forward-thinking development reassure Liam that his business is investing in something built to last.
